Ever wanted to live in a tea estate bungalow? Jungle Tide is available for hire as a whole bungalow on a staffed basis. Minimum two night stays and it is best to  book well in advance. 

For longer stays at Mulberry Cottage, please see the page A Longer Stay. For extended bookings of the whole house (two weeks or more) please enquire for special rates.

Capacity and rooms

Jungle Tide is our home. The whole house can only be made available on a self-catering basis during the times we are not there, usually around three months per year. Please enquire for dates. But at other times you are welcome to book the three guest rooms in the bungalow (and the separate Garden Chalet if you need extra accommodation) and share mealtimes with us.

The maximum number of people the house can comfortably accommodate is 8 (10 with the addition of folding beds) plus a further 4 in the Garden Chalet. We  The bedrooms are a family room (sleeps 4), a double and a twin room. We also have a cot available. 

We also have a separate self-catering two-bedroom house, Mulberry Cottage, which sleeps 4 people and this can also be hired for an additional charge. This house has  a large living/dining area, bathroom, kitchen and a study area. It has a small garden and terrace by the stream. Mulberry Cottage is our budget accommodation. It is delightful but does not offer the same standards of comfort as the main Jungle Tide bungalow.

Unfortunately due to previous experience we do not accept single sex adult groups.

Staffing

Jungle Tide is a staffed bungalow. Our housekeepers, Martin and Rani, live on site in their own separate quarters and will keep everything spotless. They will also manage the pool and gardens, wash up and generally deal with everything, all included in your price – so you can relax! They can also arrange local transport for you if required.

Rani is a renowned cook and she will prepare dinners for you for an additional price per person. The rate incudes breakfasts. if you want to do your own cooking please contact us to discuss requirements and rates Rani will also do your laundry if required.

Terms and Conditions

 The essentials are:

Respect for our staff
Jungle Tide is their home and they need time off and to be treated at all times with respect. 

Reasonable care not to damage our property.
Of course we expect occasional breakages but if our staff report that damage was caused either deliberately or by negligence on the part of anyone in your group, including children, replacement costs will be added to your bill.

Pets
Pets are not permitted in the main bungalow as we have two (friendly) dogs. If you are staying at Mulberry Cottage it may be possible for you to bring pets, but please check and disc uss with us beforehand.

You will not be required to look after our dogs! They do sleep in the house but are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. Both are very docile and child-friendly and they will also accompany you on walks if you wish.
