What you see is what you get.
The prices shown include all charges and taxes, there are no hidden fees, unlike many places you might be looking at. It is common to pay up to 30% more than the advertised price.
Book direct for the lowest prices and ensure your money stays in a Sri Lankan business not a global agency which pays no tax in Sri Lanka despite benefitting from its tourism!

The main house has three very comfortable en-suite bedrooms in a guest wing. Our two budget options, Mulberry Cottage and Kingfisher Garden Chalet, are separate from the main bungalow, and great for families or groups of up to four people. Mulberry Cottage is a two bedroomed house with its own garden, located by the stream. It is priced on a self-catering basis but you can also choose to take meals at the main house. It has one bathroom. Kingfisher is in the lower gardens close to the swimming pool and prices include breakfast. The room is ensuite with a furnished veranda area.
All rooms in the house have a section of veranda and veranda furniture with spectacular mountain views. Furnishings and curtains in the main house are high quality using mahogany and colourful fabrics.
We recommend a minimum two nights stay. If you are travelling around Sri Lanka you will not get the best value from all that we offer if you arrive late in the day and leave next morning. But if you are already in the Kandy area and would like an extra day in the mountains that is fine. Longer stays allow you to explore the tea country; the beautiful countryside the tiny villages, the friendliness of the locals and breathe in the clean mountain air and see some of the stunning views and meet the village people, in short you will experience a taste of the ‘real’ Sri Lankan hill country.

Dinners are charged at Rs3,000/per person. Dinners are half price for children aged 6 – 12, free to under 6s.
Breakfasts are included in the room prices for Jungle Tide Bungalow but not for Mulberry Cottage. If you are staying in Mulberry Cottage and want us to prepare breakfasts the price is Rs1,000/- per person.
We do not provide lunches but there is a hotel with a restaurant a short walk away or you can use our kitchen to prepare your own lunches between 12pm and 2pm. Or if there are leftovers in the fridge from last night’s dinner, you can help yourselves to them free of charge!
We can provide packed lunches if you are hiking or visiting somewhere you cannot buy lunch locally.
Shared dinner times are one of the top features of Jungle Tide.
Payments
Payment can be made in cash or by card or by bank deposit to our Sri Lankan company account if you have a Sri Lankan bank account or a WISE account.

We are not licensed to sell alcohol.
But please bring your own from Kandy. You cannot buy alcohol in our local village so stock up before you reach us. There is a shared fridge for guests’ use on the veranda. Mulberry Cottage has its own fridge-freezer and there is a mini fridge in Kingfisher garden chalet.
Wifi and Games
We have a good range of outside and inside games and many books for you to enjoy.
Wifi is available in common areas and the bedrooms, but is best in the lounge area or veranda. Mulberry Cottage has its own wifi.

Mulberry Cottage
Mulberry Cottage is our budget self-catering accommodation, separate from the main bungalow. In addition to two bedrooms and a bathroom the cottage has a kitchen, living/dining room and small study area. With its own wifi it is ideal for those who need to work or write. Outside there is a streamside garden and a paved patio. If you prefer not to self-cater you can take meals at the main bungalow, about 80 metres away.

Kingfisher Garden Chalet
Kingfisher is our budget B&B accommodation. It is separate from the main bungalow, in the lower gardens near to the swimming pool. Access is via a garden stairway (with handrails both sides). In addition to the bedroom and large bathroom there is a covered terrace area with seating and table. There is a mini-fridge, tea and coffee, and filtered drinking water in the room as well as a table and chair. There is no wifi in the room but guests can use the free wifi in the main bungalow. The room is priced at Rs7,500/- per night including breakfasts and all taxes and charges.

Hiring The Whole House
Ever wanted to live in a tea estate bungalow? Jungle Tide is available for hire as a whole bungalow on a staffed basis. The house can sleep eight people but if you need a bit more accommodation we can include the garden room separate from the house which can take four more. For longer hires or self-catering options please enquire.

Along with our pool and great selection of games to keep you and your family occupied during your stay, the area around Jungle Tide has beautiful walks and areas to explore. And there are lots of interesting day trips you can do from Jungle Tide. It is a great place from which to explore central Sri Lanka.
