Weekend Breaks

We have always welcomed local guests as well as foreign visitors. Come with your family, or your batch mates, or just by yourself, and experience the cooler climate and calmer life and great walking opportunities of the hill country.

We realise that as a Sri Lankan resident you will be looking for something different and we think we can provide it, whether it’s simply a short break from everyday life, or a serious trek in the mountains, alone or with one of our experienced naturalists, or the opportunity to see and support educational and development work with local tea estate families. Maybe all you need is the chance to get away from the crowds and the heat of Colombo and relax for a couple of days in fresh air and mountain scenery.

You will find various experiences listed on our wildlife and hiking pages, or maybe just come and relax for a day or two and enjoy the food, the views, the indoor and outdoor games, the library and the swimming pool.
